SAMP is a unit of the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (ICE-HT), a member of the Foundation for Research and Technology, Hellas (FORTH), which is the largest Research Center of Greece with the reputation of a top-level research institution worldwide.
Our mission is to develop multiscale models and digital twins for the design and improvement of functional materials and transport processes.Emphasis is placed on the numerical simulation of flow, heat transfer, diffusion, and thermomechanical behavior of advanced materials.The ultimate goal is to develop a link between structure and end-properties that will be used to optimize the design of functional materials and applications.
SAMP conducts its research using dedicated, in-house and commercial software and routines that run on a line of powerful workstations and multi-core clusters.
Through strategic collaborations with prominent academic and research centers around the world as well as with industrial leaders and SMEs, the group is enjoying wide recognition as a center for computational simulations and as a technology developer for a variety of real-world applications.
